Next Friday, January 26th, we will kick off the ASOMEX 2024 Soccer Tournament, and we are very excited because we will be hosting the ITJ Guadalajara Palomar and Valle Real schools. We will have several schools from all over the country competing and celebrating goals on our fields from January 27th to 31st.
The Association of American Schools in Mexico (ASOMEX) is the oldest of many regional school associations around the world. Its purpose is to provide a collective means to meet the needs and interests of member schools through a spirit of sharing ideas, programs, facilities, and experiences.
Each year, member schools participate in activities that include sports tournaments, workshops, UN simulations, and art and music festivals. These experiences contribute to the relationships formed within the member school community and give ASOMEX its strength and purpose.
MISSION OF THE ASOMEX SPORTS PROGRAM.
At ASOMEX, the goal is to provide students with the opportunity to learn, grow, compete, and participate in sporting events while respecting the differences and rights of others. We promote character development, sportsmanship, honesty, courtesy, and discipline as fundamental values in a healthy and safe environment.
SPORTSMANSHIP
The ASOMEX educational institutions share the privilege of promoting sports activities in which students, parents, teachers, coaches, and authorities collaborate as a single team.
Before winning championship games and trophies, ASOMEX schools work collaboratively to help students/players achieve their goals within the best interests of the athletic program.
