At ITJ we are committed to the comprehensive development of each of our students and we are convinced that the learning process and abilities of each of them is unique and different. That is why over the years we have focused on finding the best way to support the development and cognitive growth of our students who show superior performance compared to what is expected for their age, with the opportunity to follow a curriculum established by the teacher together with their peers and also benefit from a program based on research projects. style="font-weight: 400;"> that seeks for children to learn about different topics of social interest and thereby create projects in which they develop different types of skills and knowledge that they will later share with the ITJ community.

This is why for more than 10 years the ITJ has had a program based on the Johns Hopkins University Center for Talented Youth. The “Gifted & Talented” program seeks to reach our entire community that shows high abilities and also provide them with personalized attention.

The topics and ways of working vary year after year, this depends on the needs and interests that the students show, they can vary from individual work, in teams, with the support of technology, artistic approaches, among many others. The students who are members of this program go to the Gifted classroom twice a week for 40 minutes, there they carry out their research and throughout the school year they develop the topic through different projects. In order to share with the ITJ community what our students have been working on, a final presentation is made.
